Entering the game, Shenandoah Valley stood at 4–5 in league play, while Tri-Valley was looking to build momentum at 2–7. The contest lived up to its billing, with neither team able to pull away as the game came down to the final minutes.
Shenandoah Valley used a balanced scoring effort to secure the victory. Gianna Donovan and Aubrie Monaghan each finished with 11 points to lead the Blue Devils, while Litzy Salguero added 9 points. Jocelyn Chagolla chipped in 6 points, and Giana Troutman rounded out the scoring with 2.
Tri-Valley was paced by a strong performance from Avery Miller, who poured in a game-high 20 points. Despite Tri-Valley’s efforts, Shenandoah Valley was able to make just enough plays down the stretch to escape with the two-point win.
Shenandoah Valley will look to carry the momentum into its next game on Thursday, when the Blue Devils return home to host Weatherly. Tri-Valley will also be back in action at home, as the Bulldogs are set to take on Nativity BVM in their next outing.
