Relay For Life of Schuylkill County Returns to Bubeck Park with “Wrangling For A Cure” Theme

The American Cancer Society’s Relay For Life of Schuylkill County will return to Bubeck Park in Schuylkill Haven on Saturday, June 13, 2026, bringing the community together once again under this year’s western-themed banner, “Wrangling For A Cure.”

Organizers say the annual event continues to play a vital role in the fight against cancer. In 2026, an estimated 2.1 million new cancer cases and more than 610,000 cancer deaths are expected nationwide, including more than 95,000 new cases in Pennsylvania alone.

This marks the third consecutive year the event will be held at Bubeck Park, providing a meaningful setting for survivors, caregivers, families, and supporters to gather in hope and remembrance.

“Relay For Life is more than just a walk. It is a volunteer-led movement that unites our community to celebrate cancer survivors, remember loved ones lost, and raise funds to fight back against cancer,” said Trysha Nettles, event co-chair. “This year’s theme, ‘Wrangling For A Cure,’ reflects our determination to rope in hope, strength, and support as we continue the fight. Cancer has touched so many families in Schuylkill County, and Relay gives us the opportunity to stand together and make a difference.”
