Carl M. Deiter III
, 40, of Pottsville, passed away on Thursday, February 12, 2026, at his home.

He was born in Pottsville on May 18, 1985. Carl was the son of Carl "Chuck" Deiter, Jr., with whom he resided, and Michelle (Shoup) Umbenhouer, wife of Jay of Pottsville.

He was of the Lutheran faith and was a 2004 graduate of Pottsville Area High School. Carl worked at the Big Lots Distribution Center in Tremont. His hobbies included outdoor burning and cutting down trees.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Damiane Deiter, who passed away in 2002.

In addition to his parents, Carl is survived by his sister, Jacqueline Moyer, wife of Todd, of Auburn; his nephew, Cole Moyer of Auburn; as well as aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A religious service will be held on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at 2 p.m. at the James H. Evans Funeral Home, Inc., St. Clair, with Rev. Jack Culbert officiating. Relatives and friends are invited to call from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday afternoon at the funeral home. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.

The family would appreciate contributions to help defray funeral costs. James H. Evans Funeral Home, Inc., St. Clair, is entrusted with arrangements.

John C. Redman Jr.
, 49 of West West Terrace, passed away after a long courageous battle with cancer, Thursday February 12, 2026 at LVHN Cedar Crest, Allentown with his wife Nikki by his side.

Born on April 3, 1976, in Pottsville, he was a son of the John C. Redman Sr. and the late Shawn (Naus) Redman of Schuylkill Haven.

Surviving in addition to his father are his wife of 19 years Nicole (Melewsky) Redman; Son Mitchell Melewsky; Brothers Jamie Redman and his wife Beth of DE; Justin Redman widower of Mindy of CA; Brother-in law Adam Melewsky and his wife Melissa; Mother-in law Christine Melewsky; Nieces Alexis Keiter, Anna Melewsky, Elizabeth Melewsky; Nephews Justyce Redman, Nathan Melewsky, Maxwell Melewsky; 2 Great Nephews Colin and Parker Keiter; Beloved Dogs Copper and Meadow Bee.

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his Maternal Grandparents Richard & Bertha Naus; Paternal Grandparents Guy & Betty Redman; Uncle Guy “Buddy” Redman; Father-in-law Robert Melewsky; Sister-in-law Mindy Redman.

A graduate of Schuylkill Haven Area High School, he was a loyal employee for 26 years at Nestle’ Waters / Blu Triton Waters, Allentown.

John was a die hard Notre Dame fan. He enjoyed playing any games especially poker where he met his wife, Nikki. He enjoyed all sports including football and horse racing.

He will be remembered for his kind spirit and laid back personality… everyone who knew John enjoyed his smile and company.

The Family will accept visitors on Wednesday February 18, 2026 from 5:30 until Celebration of John’s life will be held at 7:30PM from Dutcavich Funeral Home & Cremation Care Inc. 200 Sunbury St. Minersville, PA 17954. Dutcavich Funeral Home & Cremation Care Inc. is in charge of arrangements.

Joyce Chonski
, 78, a resident of Shenandoah, passed away at her home on Wednesday, February 11th, 2026.

Joyce was born in Shenandoah on November 25, 1947, a daughter of the late John and Helen (Majesky) Andrauskas. She was a graduate of the former JW Cooper High School, and went on to become a CNA in the local area, in addition to working at both the former K Mart and Hardees' in Frackville.

She had a love for her feline friends, and enjoyed her many pets over the years. Joyce was also a fan of the Dallas Cowboys, and she enjoyed her Facebook and Candy Crush.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Chonski, a daughter, Gina Petrylak and a grandson, Shai Abrachinsky,

She is survived by two children, her son, John Hilbert and his fiancee Maria Stevens and by a daughter, Jaime, wife of Greg Stevens. Six grandchildren, Kaylene Hilbert, Shayna Hilbert, Casey Weisbeck, Daniel Weisbeck, Phoebe Stevens and Raider Stevens also survive along with two great grandchildren, Colton and Luke Moyer. She is also survived by her sister, Donna.

The Walukiewicz Oravitz Fell Funeral Home of Shenandoah, is providing private services to Joyce's family during their time of need.
