Pottsville Woman Charged After Allegedly Crashing Vehicle Into Another Car With Children Inside


A Pottsville woman is facing multiple felony and misdemeanor charges after police say she intentionally crashed her vehicle into another vehicle while children were inside.
According to court documents, Cassidy Rose Nush, 29, of Pottsville, was charged following an incident on Thursday, February 12, 2026, in Port Carbon Borough.

Police were dispatched to the 70 block of Rose Avenue around 8:43 p.m. for a reported disturbance involving a motor vehicle crash. Upon arrival, troopers made contact with the victim, who told police that Nush had confronted her and made contact with her vehicle.

Investigators allege Nush backed her vehicle up and then drove forward into the victim’s parked vehicle, causing damage. Two children were reportedly seated in the victim’s vehicle at the time of the incident.

Authorities say the incident was captured on video surveillance.

Nush has been charged with:

  • Two counts of Endangering the Welfare of Children (F3)
  • Criminal Mischief – Damage Property (F3)
  • Two counts of Recklessly Endangering Another Person (M2)
  • Reckless Driving (Summary)
  • Disorderly Conduct (Summary)

She was arraigned by on-call Magisterial District Judge Christian Lengel and committed to Schuylkill County Prison after failing to post 10% of $10,000 cash bail.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for February 24, 2026, before Magisterial District Judge Edward Lewis.
