A Winter Storm Watch has been issued by the National Weather Service for Schuylkill County and counties south in central Pennsylvania, with heavy snow possible from late Saturday night through Monday afternoon.
The watch, issued at 1:40 p.m. Friday, includes Schuylkill, Dauphin, Lebanon, Adams, York, and Lancaster counties.
Snow Accumulations Possible
Forecasters say total snow accumulations between 4 and 6 inches are possible during the duration of the storm. Snow is expected to begin late Saturday night and continue at times through Monday afternoon.
Travel Impacts Likely
According to the National Weather Service, travel could become very difficult, especially during periods of heavier snowfall. Hazardous road conditions may significantly impact the Monday morning commute.
