According to district officials, Waite has been unanimously selected to receive the Pennsylvania Association of Rural and Small Schools (PARSS) Advocacy Award. The award is presented to individuals who demonstrate exceptional dedication to public education while actively supporting and advocating for the unique needs of rural and small school districts throughout the Commonwealth.
District officials praised Waite for his ongoing leadership and the positive impact he has made on students, staff, and the broader Shenandoah Valley community.
Waite will be formally recognized during the annual PARSS Awards Dinner, scheduled for Thursday, April 30, 2026, at 5:30 p.m. The event will be held at the Wyndham Garden Hotel at Mountain View Country Club in State College as part of the PARSS Conference.
School officials said the honor reflects Waite’s continued efforts to strengthen educational opportunities and represent rural school districts at the state level.
