According to dispatch information, firefighters were called to the 40 block of Valley Road around 8:15 p.m. for a reported structure fire. Initial reports indicated a possible entrapment, but that was later cleared after all occupants were confirmed to have safely exited the home.
Upon arrival, crews found heavy fire conditions at the rear of a residence, with flames actively engulfing part of the structure. Due to the intensity of the fire and the need for additional water supply in the area, a tanker task force was requested to assist.
Firefighters worked for more than an hour to bring the blaze under control.
No injuries were reported.
A Pennsylvania State Police Fire Marshal was called to the scene to determine the cause of the fire, which remains under investigation.
As a result of the incident, three people and a dog have been displaced. Assistance is being provided by the American Red Cross.
