The event brought together students, faculty, and local first responders, who lined up in support of the competitors. Emergency vehicles with lights flashing created an energetic and memorable atmosphere as the students were recognized for earning the opportunity to represent their school and community on a larger stage.
Among those recognized was London White, who will be participating in the State Band.
Members of the school’s Robotics Team heading to state competition include James Bubnis, Kayda Monberger, Charlie Cuff, Joe Owings, Brody Balliet, Joe McAndrew, and David Rodriguez.
North Schuylkill’s Academic Team was also honored, with students including:
Bianca McAndrew, Victoria Grose, Lorelai Grose, Joe McAndrew, Fabrizio Manganiello, Mattias Mah, Ryan McGurl, Garrett Ratkiewicz, Hadley Heyer, Ava Hubler, Charlie Cuff, Seth Cuff, Ethan Parham, Aidan Lazor, David Luna, and Anna Mourad.
Participating in the sendoff were first responders and their apparatus from Englewood, Gordon, Lavelle, Ashland, Girardville, and Ringtown, adding to the excitement and showing strong community support for the students.
School officials praised the students for their hard work, dedication, and commitment that led them to qualify for state-level competition. The sendoff served as both recognition of their accomplishments and encouragement as they prepare to compete against top talent from across Pennsylvania.
The students will now travel to their respective state competitions in the coming days, carrying with them the support of their classmates, teachers, and the entire community.
