After six weeks of racing, fans have already witnessed thrilling action in every class, from the weekly divisions including the BQ Concrete 358 Modifieds, USS Achey Inc. 602 Crate Sportsman, Red White and Blue Autos Inc. Roadrunners, and Big Creek Concrete Rookie 602 Crate Sportsman, to several visiting series that have helped make the 2026 season one of the most exciting in recent memory.
That momentum is expected to continue Friday, May 22, when the USAC East Coast Sprint Cars presented by Baer Den Farms return to Big Diamond Speedway alongside the 358 Modifieds, 602 Crate Sportsman, and Rookie 602 Crate Sportsman divisions. The Roadrunners will have the night off.
The USAC East Coast Sprint Cars are known for bringing some of the top wingless Sprint Car talent from across the region, and fans are expected to see another strong field of competitors.
Last season, Allentown’s Briggs Danner earned his first career Big Diamond Speedway victory during the series’ lone appearance at the track, holding off 2025 champion Steven Drevicki for the win.
Danner has already found victory lane once in 2026 after capturing the season opener at Bridgeport Speedway on April 18. Kenny Miller III followed with a win one week later at Bedford Speedway and enters Friday night as the current series points leader.
In the BQ Concrete 358 Modified division, Tim Buckwalter continues to lead the standings despite still searching for his first win of the season after recording three runner-up finishes through the opening six races.
Louden Reimert, currently second in points, has also been consistently near the front and will be looking to finally break through for a victory Friday night.
The USS Achey Inc. 602 Crate Sportsman division is coming off the “Crate Classic,” where Ryan Graver picked up his first career Big Diamond Speedway victory and the event’s $2,000 top prize.
The competitiveness of the class has been evident throughout the season, as no driver has repeated as a winner through the first six weeks of competition.
Meanwhile, the Big Creek Concrete Rookie 602 Crate Sportsman division is guaranteed to produce a new winner this week. Kevin Fitzpatrick claimed victories in each of the first three events before moving up to compete full-time in the regular Crate Sportsman division.
Pit gates will open Friday at 5:00 p.m., with grandstands opening at 5:30 p.m. Hot laps are scheduled for 7:00 p.m., followed by racing.
Pit admission is $35 for Big Diamond Speedway members and $45 for non-members. General admission is $25 for adults, $10 for students ages 10 through 15, and free for children ages 9 and under.
