The Schuylkill County Council for the Arts is inviting the community to a series of events this month at the Historic Yuengling Mansion in Pottsville, featuring a new sculpture exhibition, live music, and an outdoor yoga experience.
SCCA to Host "DIRTY WORKS" Sculpture Exhibition
The Schuylkill County Council for the Arts (SCCA) will present "DIRTY WORKS," an exhibition showcasing the sculptural creations of four women artists — Brigitte, Joanne, Kelly, and Laurie.
The exhibit highlights a diverse collection of sculptures ranging from bold forms to intricate details, celebrating the creativity and craftsmanship that can emerge through hands-on artistic expression.
Visitors are invited to attend an opening reception on Sunday, June 14, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. in the Carriage House at the Historic Yuengling Mansion, located at 1440 Mahantongo Street in Pottsville. Admission is free.
Exhibition hours are scheduled for:

The exhibition is part of the SCCA's ongoing efforts to transform the Carriage House into its permanent arts headquarters.
Music at the Mansion Returns June 14
Following the opening reception, the popular Music at the Mansion series will return to the mansion's sunken garden from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday, June 14.
The free community event, sponsored by Renewal by Andersen, will feature local musicians, food, and beverages in the historic setting. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets.
Performers scheduled to appear include:
- Hatter — 3 p.m. to 4 p.m.
- Billy McGowan — 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
- Coal Fired Ramblers — 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Food will be available from Buns on the Go, LLC, while Sunhead's Threads will offer band merchandise during the event.
Organizers noted that each concert this season will feature a corresponding art exhibit inside the Carriage House, further blending visual and performing arts as the space evolves into the SCCA's artistic home.
Summer Solstice Yoga Planned for June 21
The SCCA will also host Yoga in the Garden with Michaela on Saturday, June 21, from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Led by Michaela Klembera, the class is open to participants of all experience levels and will celebrate the arrival of the summer solstice with an evening of movement, mindfulness, and connection with nature.
Participants are asked to bring their own yoga mats, and organizers say space is limited and expected to sell out.
The event will take place on the grounds of the Historic Yuengling Mansion, offering what organizers describe as a peaceful setting for the seasonal gathering.
Organizers also reminded visitors that the Historic Yuengling Mansion is not wheelchair accessible.
