The fairgrounds will open to the public at 4 p.m., when Goodtime Amusements will also open the carnival midway and rides.
Wednesday’s activities begin with the Tractor Parade at 4:30 p.m. from the Main Gate. The Celebrity Tractor Pull will follow at 5:30 p.m. at the Ag Museum Track.
At 6 p.m., “Invasive Plants — Mosquitoes’ Favorite” will be presented along the indoor midway. The Livestock Skill-A-Thon will also begin at 6 p.m. in the Ag Arena.
Visitors can meet the 4-H members and their horses from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Horse Barn.
Johnny Peers & The Muttville Comix will perform at 6 and 8 p.m. in the amphitheater.
Pull Off Productions and the Farm Stock Pulls will begin at 7 p.m. at the Ag Museum Track. Wednesday’s pulling classes will include King of the Farm, Altered Farm and 11,500-, 13,000- and 15,500-pound classes at 6 mph and 8 mph.
Admission to the pulling events is $10 and includes admission to the fairgrounds.
Eric Caravella’s Uptown Band will perform from 7 to 9 p.m. on the JRL Emergency Services Stage. Premium reserved seating is available for $10.
A boilo contest will begin at 7:30 p.m. in the PA Preferred Building.

General fair admission is $5, while children age 10 and younger are admitted free. Parking is also free. Daily carnival ride bands are available for $25.
The Schuylkill County Fairgrounds are located at 2270 Fair Road near Schuylkill Haven.
