Schuylkill County Fair Wraps Up Saturday with Full Day of Events


The 2026 Schuylkill County Fair will conclude Saturday, August 1, with horse shows, agricultural events, parades, carnival rides and live entertainment.
Saturday’s theme is “Celebrating 250 Years of Freedom, Family & State Fairs,” in recognition of the nation’s 250th anniversary. The day is sponsored by the Schuylkill County Commissioners.

Activities begin at 8 a.m. with the Open Horse Show in the Equine Arena.

Registration for the Antique Tractor Pull will begin at 9 a.m. at the Ag Track. The pull starts at 10 a.m. at the Ag Museum Track and is free to attend.

The fairgrounds officially open to the public at 11 a.m. The 4-H/FFA Master Showman Contest will begin at that time in the Ag Arena, while sawmill demonstrations will be held throughout the day at the Ag Museum.

The Tractor Parade will leave the Main Gate at 1:30 p.m. Unicorn Dress Up will be offered from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Horse Barn.

At 3 p.m., the Junior Fair Board Mullet Contest will take place on the JRL Emergency Services Stage. Livestock judging will also begin at 3 p.m. in the Ag Arena.

Goodtime Amusements will open the carnival midway and rides at 4 p.m. Saturday’s parade activities include the Princess Parade at 4 p.m. and the Kiddie Parade at 5 p.m., both beginning at the Main Gate.

Johnny Peers & The Muttville Comix will perform at 4, 6 and 8 p.m. in the amphitheater.

At 6 p.m., the Red Creek Wildlife Center will present a program along the indoor midway. Visitors can also meet the 4-H members and their horses from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Horse Barn.

DJ Chicken Nugget will host line dancing at 7 p.m. in the Ag Arena.

Country Live will close out the fair’s stage entertainment with performances at 7 and 9 p.m. on the JRL Emergency Services Stage.

General admission is $5. Children age 10 and younger are admitted free, and parking is free. Daily carnival ride bands are available for $25.
