Born in Pottsville, PA on August 18, 1937, he was the only child of the late Michael and Lucy (Forte) Caruso.
John was a 1956 graduate of Pottsville High School, where he was an outstanding offensive lineman on the football team. He proudly served in the U.S. Air Force as an A2C from 1958-1962. John was an incredibly hard worker and a loyal friend. He was a route salesman for the Coca-Cola Bottling Company of Pottsville for many years. He served for a time as deputy county controller under his friend Don Kerns. John wrapped up his working career "in the cage," selling lottery tickets alongside his pal "Sam."
John loved eating (especially pizza!); going to "Penny" (Penn National) with his partner in crime "Brady"; growing tomatoes in his garden; following sports, especially football (rumor has it that he may have even placed an occasional wager); spending an August day at Saratoga Race Course; watching his grandchildren play sports; 50s rock 'n roll; and Halloween. But above all else, John loved his family -- immensely.
John is survived by his wife of 67 years, Beverly Ann (Sauers) Caruso; his children: David Caruso (Karen), Michael Caruso, Stephen Caruso (Brenda), and Gina Ryan (Jarrod); his grandchildren: Jeremy (Erin), Jordan, Dominic (Hannah), Bryan, Vincent, and step-granddaughter Alexis (Wiley); and his devoted furry friend Bella Grace.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Holy Cross Roman Catholic Church, New Philadelphia at 11AM on Wednesday, August 26, with Msgr William Glosser officiating.
Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects on Wednesday morning from 9-11AM at the Church.
Interment with military honors will be held in St. John the Baptist NO. 2 Cemetery, Pottsville.

Born in Brookhaven, Pennsylvania, to the late John and Irene Engle Collins, Susan graduated from Sun Valley High School and was a proud graduate of Pennsylvania State University.
She is survived by her husband, Matt, of Fruitland Park, Florida; her brother Kevin Collins of Cleveland, Ohio; and aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was predeceased by her maternal grandparents, Steven and Helen Angle of Mahanoy City, Pennsylvania; her paternal grandparents, John and Genevieve Collins of Delano, Pennsylvania; her brother Jack Collins of Ridley Park, Pennsylvania; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Susan worked in the social welfare field before returning to publishing, where she spent many years selling textbooks to colleges and universities across the United States. She was a life member of the Penn State Alumni Association, the FCSU, and Branch 112 of the St. John the Baptist Society of Mahanoy City, Pennsylvania.
Susan will be remembered by all who knew, cherished, befriended, and loved her. One of a kind, she lived life to the fullest. She touched many lives with her humor, patience, fortitude, and bravery in facing life’s challenges. She remains a beacon of light for those who follow.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10a.m. on Friday, August 28, at Saint Teresa of Calcutta Parish in Mahanoy City, Pennsylvania, with Father Kevin Gallagher officiating. Public visitation will be held from 9 to 10 a.m. at the parish.
Interment will follow at St. Canicus Cemetery, Mahanoy City, Pennsylvania.

Dr. Terry Ray Donmoyer, 70, passed away on Friday, August 21, 2026.
Born on September 14, 1955 in Pottsville, he was the son of the late Raymond and Ferne Klinger Donmoyer.
Terry was a graduate of Pine Grove Area High School and dedicated much of his professional life to caring for others. He went to Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and Science for Pharmacy, where he was part of (USP) Upsilon Sigma Phi fraternity and later attended New York College of Podiatric Medicine for his doctorate in Podiatric Medicine.
In his younger years, he owned and operated a private podiatry practice in Lebanon. More recently, he worked as a pharmacist at Tri-Valley Pharmacy, Pine Grove, where he continued to use his knowledge and experience to help others.
Terry will be remembered for his love of God and family, his giving heart, his humor, his kindness, and his compassion for others.
Terry was a devoted father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend whose life was defined by the many people he loved and cared for.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Christine Donmoyer, as well as his infant sister, Ferne; his younger sister, Wendy Kay Graeff; and his friend and brother-in-law, Kenneth Graeff.
Terry is survived by his daughters, Jenna Galan of Wyomissing and Carrie Moffat of Danville; his stepdaughter, Jennifer Marks of Danville; his beloved companion of over five years, Susan Redman; Susan's daughters, Lydia and Molly Redman, whom he loved dearly and considered an important part of his family; and will be deeply missed by his several grandchildren, as well as his half-sister, Bambi Shaak, beloved niece and nephew, Amy Shadle and Kenneth Graeff, and several great nieces and nephews.
Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, August 29, 2026 at 10:30 A.M. at the H. L. Snyder Funeral Home, Inc., Pine Grove with Michelle Causton officiating. There will be a visitation on Saturday, August 29, 2026 from 9:00 A.M. until 10:30 A.M. at the Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Salem Hetzel's Cemetery, Pine Grove.
