Bette Jane Foreman
, age 76, of Schuylkill Haven and formerly of Mahanoy City, passed away Tuesday evening at Geisinger St. Luke's Hospital in Orwigsburg. 

Born at the former Locust Mountain Hospital she was the daughter of the late Harry R. "Dick" and Melba (Richards) Jenkins. She was a 1967 graduate of Mahanoy Area High School and last worked as an executive assistant for HH Brown Company in Martinsburg PA. 

Preceding her in death in addition to her parents were her husband H. Glen Foreman and her companion Robert Ober. 

Survivors include two daughter Amy Kozie and her companion Jason Andrusichen of Zion Grove and Laurie Symons and her companion William Andrews of Lavelle, grandchildren Kyle Kozie and his wife Shelbey, Taylor Kozie and her fiancé Michael Bilotta, Cory Symons and his wife Michelle, and great grandchildren Levi Kozie and Colton and Case Symons.

Barbara E. Phillips
, 83, of Frackville, passed away at her home on Saturday August 15, 2026. She was born April 13, 1943 in Pottsville, the daughter of Edward and Mary Skiptunas Zack. Barbara graduated from Immaculate Heart High School. She was a member of St. Joseph the Worker R.C. Church, Frackville. In addition to her parents. she was preceded in death by her husband Delmar, who passed away Dec, 2015 after 50 years of marriage and infant sister Janice.

Barbara is survived by her sons Delmar and Darren Phillips of Frackville, and a sister Joyce Stripe of Orwigsburg, as well as nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday August 22, at 11am from St.Joseph the Worker Parish, 49 N. Line Street Frackville, with Rev. Christopher M. Zelonis as celebrant. A visitation will be held from 10am until the time of mass at the church. Burial will be at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.

Donations in Barbara's memory can be mailed directly to the church.

Carole L. Wiscount
, 89, of Bethel Rd., Pine Grove, passed away on Monday, August 17, 2026 at home.

Born on April 12, 1937 in Pine Grove, she was a daughter of the late Paul E. and Florence Miller Neidlinger.

Carole was a 1955 graduate of Pine Grove High School and had been self employed as a Mary Kay cosmetics consultant and was known as the "Mary Kay Lady" She was a member of TOPS and enjoyed riding motorcycle with her husband Sonny.

She was a member of the Most Blessed Trinity Parish, Tremont.

Preceding her in death were her husband, Francis A. "Sonny" Wiscount, Jr. and a sister Gloria Neidlinger.

Surviving are a daughter,, LaRue and husband Kerry Troutman; three sons, Paul and wife Lori Wiscount, Rob Wiscount and Beth Noll, all of Pine Grove, Francis III and wife Marie Wiscount of Hegins; 12 grandchildren, Jennifer, Faith, Ryan, Francis IV, Gwen, Jill, Jolene, Elyse, Robbie, Shana, Brianna, and Amie; 19 great grandchildren Liam, Lily, Spyro, Pano, Anastasia, Lyla, Terra, Grayson, Emersyn, Elaina, Harrison, Conrad,Wyatt, Myles, Havyn, Ora, Kemper, Blake and Nathan.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, August 26, 2026 at 12:30 P.M. at the Most Blessed Trinity Parish, 113 Cherry St., Tremont, with Father George Kochuparambil officiating. There will be a viewing on Wednesday, August 26, 2026 from 10:30 AM until time of service at the Church. Interment will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery, Pine Grove.

In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer contributions be made to the Most Blessed Trinity Parish, 113 Cherry Street, Tremont, Pa. 17981, in her memory.
