Schuylkill IU 29 Business Manager Earns State Professional Certification

Schuylkill Intermediate Unit 29 (IU 29) has announced that Business Manager Kristina E. Frantz has earned the designation of Pennsylvania Certified School Business Administrator (PCSBA) through the Pennsylvania Association of School Business Officials (PASBO), recognizing her commitment to excellence in school business administration.

The PCSBA designation is awarded to school business officials who meet PASBO's rigorous standards for education, professional experience, ethics, and continuing education. Certification must be renewed every four years through ongoing professional development, ensuring recipients remain current with best practices in school finance and operations.

Dr. Anthony Serafini, Executive Director of Schuylkill IU 29, praised Frantz's accomplishment.

"Kristina's achievement reflects a deep dedication to professional excellence and the operational success of our educational entity," Serafini said. "This certification assures our community that our educational entity's business operations are managed by a highly qualified professional dedicated to standard-setting financial and operational practices."

Frantz has served as Business Manager for Schuylkill IU 29 since 2023. In addition to overseeing the Intermediate Unit's financial operations, she also serves as Business Manager for the Schuylkill Technology Center and Manager for the Schuylkill County School Employees Health & Welfare program. Beyond her professional responsibilities, she is active in the community, serving on the Finance Committee of First United Methodist Church in Frackville, as President of the North Schuylkill Spartan Cheerleader Boosters, and Secretary of the North Schuylkill Lady Spartan Volleyball Boosters.

PASBO is the statewide professional association representing school business officials responsible for the financial and operational functions of public and non-public schools. The organization promotes high ethical standards, professional development, and excellence in school business administration and is affiliated with the Association of School Business Officials International (ASBO).
