After drawing a strong crowd for its inaugural event last year, the Schuylkill Stampede Rodeo is set to return this fall with an expanded lineup of attractions, live entertainment, and professional rodeo competition.
Organizers announced that the 2026 Schuylkill Stampede will take place on Saturday, October 17, 2026, at the Schuylkill County Fairgrounds under the theme, "This Ain't Our First Rodeo!", celebrating the success of the event's debut while promising an even bigger experience for visitors.
The day begins at 1:00 p.m. with free admission to the festival grounds, giving attendees several hours to explore a variety of family-friendly attractions before the professional rodeo gets underway at 5:00 p.m.
The rodeo will feature professional competitors in a variety of western events, including bull riding, barrel racing, mutton bustin', and other fan-favorite competitions showcasing the skills of cowboys and cowgirls from across the region.
Beyond the arena, organizers have expanded the festival with entertainment and activities designed for all ages. Guests can enjoy mechanical bull riding, a petting zoo, pony rides, goat snuggling, a country-themed marketplace, local artisan vendors, food trucks, Yuengling beer, and live performances by two country bands throughout the afternoon.
One of the biggest additions for 2026 is two hours of free line dancing from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Organizers say both beginners and experienced dancers are encouraged to participate and learn classic country dance moves before the rodeo begins.
While admission to the festival grounds is free, tickets are required for the professional rodeo beginning at 5:00 p.m.
Attendees can choose between general admission rodeo tickets or VIP packages, which include preferred seating, food, beverages, and premium views of the arena.
Organizers encourage families and country music fans alike to come dressed in their western attire and enjoy a full day of entertainment.
