Pennsylvania State Police are investigating a burglary at a commercial building in Centralia that resulted in the theft of approximately $750 worth of property belonging to the Centralia Fire Department.
Burglary Reported on Locust Avenue
The burglary occurred sometime between August 22 and August 24, 2026, at an unoccupied commercial building at 600 Locust Avenue, according to a Pennsylvania State Police public information release.
Police said someone forced entry into the building through the rear of the property.
Centralia Fire Department Property Reported Stolen
The following items were reported stolen:
- Motorola 750: Valued at $500
- Toolbox containing assorted hand tools: Valued at $250
The total reported value of the stolen property was $750.
State Police Investigation Continues
No suspects had been identified at the time of the police report. Pennsylvania State Police said the Centralia burglary investigation remains ongoing.
