The Blue Mountain Eagle Marching Band is taking audiences back to the music of the 2000s during the 2026 season as part of Skook News’ Meet the Schuylkill County Marching Bands series.
The band includes 61 musicians and nine color guard members in grades seven through 12. Madison Sanchez, Dahlia Hughes and Maddie Dalkner serve as drum majors.
Chris Evans is marking his 19th year as Blue Mountain’s band director and his 27th year as a director overall.
The staff also includes Assistant Band Directors Tom Daugherty, Josh Bishop and Maddie Smith; Color Guard Instructor Maya Sites-Kagenski; and Front Ensemble Instructors Megan Snyder and Aidan Miller.
Blue Mountain’s 2026 Show: The Best of the 2000s
The band’s 2026 field show, “The Best of the 2000s,” celebrates a transformative decade in music marked by genre fusion, digital distribution and the popularity of pop, hip-hop, R&B and rock.
The show’s musical selections include:
- “Toxic” by Britney Spears
- “Poker Face” by Lady Gaga
- “I Gotta Feeling” by the Black Eyed Peas
- “Mr. Brightside” by the Killers
The Eagle Marching Band’s goals for the season are simple: learn and have fun.
Performances and Competitions
The Blue Mountain Eagle Marching Band will perform at all Blue Mountain home and away football games and make an appearance at the Bloomsburg Fair.
The band will also participate in local competitions hosted by Mahanoy Area, North Schuylkill and Blue Mountain.
