The North Schuylkill Football Hall of Fame marked its 50th anniversary Friday night by inducting four new members during halftime of the Spartans’ game against Mount Carmel Area.
The September 18, 2026, ceremony was held at Ghosh Orthodontics Field at Spartan Stadium and honored former North Schuylkill football players Dylan Dietz, Jason Lipshaw and Brandon Rockwell, along with honorary inductee Adam J. Bernodin III.
Dylan Dietz
Dietz, a 2021 North Schuylkill graduate, was a three-year starter at free safety and wide receiver, a two-year starter at punter and a one-year starter at kicker.
He recorded 20 interceptions during his career and earned numerous honors, including PFN All-State recognition and selection to the 2021 Pennsylvania Scholastic Football Coaches Association East-West All-Star Game. Dietz was also named North Schuylkill’s 2020-21 Scholar Athlete.
Jason Lipshaw
Lipshaw, a 2020 North Schuylkill graduate, was a four-year starter at defensive tackle. His career included multiple Standard-Speaker, Republican-Herald and Schuylkill County Football Coaches Association honors.
He later graduated from Lebanon Valley College with degrees in criminal justice and sociology and currently works as a work release counselor at the Lebanon County Correctional Facility.
Brandon Rockwell
Rockwell, a 2019 North Schuylkill graduate, was a four-year letterman at defensive back and wide receiver. He helped the Spartans win a district championship in 2018 and finished his football career with 822 receiving yards, 16 interceptions and 12 touchdowns.
Rockwell was also a four-year varsity baseball letterman and played on three district championship teams. He currently serves as a varsity baseball coach at Mount Carmel.
Honorary Inductee Adam J. Bernodin III
Bernodin, a 1994 North Schuylkill graduate, was inducted as an honorary member for his dedication to preserving the history and tradition of Spartan football.
He created and continues to manage the official North Schuylkill Spartan Football website, where he has digitized decades of team records, statistics, photographs and milestones. His research has also helped preserve the football history of Ashland High School and the accomplishments of the Ashland Black Diamonds.
