Blue Mountain to Induct Eight into All-Sports Hall of Fame Friday Night

Blue Mountain All-Sports Hall of Fame Class of 2026 induction ceremony

The Blue Mountain All-Sports Hall of Fame will welcome eight new members on , during halftime ceremonies at the Blue Mountain–Panther Valley football game at the Eagles Nest.

The Class of 2026, selected by a vote of current Hall of Fame members, includes seven Blue Mountain graduates and the late softball coach Mike Rollman, who will be inducted as an honorary member.

A gathering for the inductees, their families and current Hall of Fame members will take place on the stadium grounds before and during the football game.

A reception will follow the game at Roman Delight Restaurant on Route 61.

Blue Mountain Hall of Fame Class of 2026

Mike Rollman — Honorary Member

Mike Rollman, who died in 2025, will be honored for leading Blue Mountain’s softball program to consecutive PIAA state championships in 2023 and 2024. The 2023 title was the school’s first state championship in a team sport.

A 2006 Schuylkill Haven graduate, Rollman joined Blue Mountain’s softball staff as an assistant in 2018 and became head coach in 2019.

He compiled a 101-22 record, won the District XI Class 4A championship during his first season as head coach and coached numerous All-Area and All-State players. His induction recognizes the lasting contributions he made to Blue Mountain athletics.


Aubrey Abel Moyer — Class of 2015

Aubrey Abel Moyer earned four varsity letters each in tennis and track.

Playing in the No. 1 singles and doubles positions, she reached the District XI tennis finals three times and the semifinals once, earned All-Berks League recognition and became Blue Mountain’s career leader in singles victories.

In track and field, she was a district finalist in the 400-meter run, 800-meter run, 4x400 relay and 4x800 relay. She was named Blue Mountain’s Female Scholar-Athlete as a senior.

A Penn State graduate, Moyer now owns a wedding and lifestyle photography business.


Mark Chelius — Class of 2016

Mark Chelius scored 1,075 career points as a basketball point guard and earned four varsity letters.

A two-year captain, he received All-County honors and helped the Eagles earn second- and third-place finishes in District XI.

Chelius also earned three football letters, served as a captain and started at running back and safety. He participated in North/South all-star games in both sports and later played one season of basketball at Elizabethtown College.


Jeremy Cresswell — Class of 2005

Jeremy Cresswell completed his Blue Mountain wrestling career with a 129-26 record.

He won four Schuylkill League championships, earned multiple District XI medals and placed seventh at the PIAA state tournament. He was named the Schuylkill League Tournament’s Outstanding Wrestler during his senior season.

Cresswell also earned two varsity letters as a midfielder on Schuylkill League championship soccer teams.

He graduated summa cum laude from Kutztown University with a communication design degree and now manages an Apple Store in Columbus, Ohio.


Frank Gaffney — Class of 2010

Frank Gaffney competed in football, baseball and wrestling at Blue Mountain.

A three-year football starter at quarterback, linebacker and defensive back, he earned All-Area and All-Anthracite recognition. He was named Player of the Game in the District XI Class 3A championship during his sophomore season.

Gaffney also helped Blue Mountain win two Schuylkill League and two District XI baseball championships and qualified for regional competition in wrestling.

He continued his football career at Thaddeus Stevens and Lebanon Valley College, earning conference and All-America honors. Gaffney currently serves as Williams Valley’s head football coach.


Dave Mason — Class of 1985

Dave Mason earned three football letters and two baseball letters. A football captain as a senior, he received second-team All-County honors as a junior and first-team recognition as a senior.

His involvement with Blue Mountain athletics continued long after graduation. Mason has served as the football program’s statistician for 28 years, worked as the clock operator and scorekeeper for home wrestling matches and held leadership roles with Blue Mountain Midget Football and the wrestling booster club.

A Millersville University graduate, Mason is a vice president with Mid Penn Bank.


Erin Pavlick Powell — Class of 2007

Erin Pavlick Powell earned three swimming letters and medals at league, district and state meets.

Her accomplishments included a district championship and school records in the 100-yard breaststroke, 400-yard freestyle relay and 200-yard medley relay. She continues to hold Blue Mountain’s record in the 100-yard breaststroke.

Powell swam for four years at Florida International University and served as team captain for two seasons.

She later graduated from the University of Baltimore School of Law and now works as a contracting officer for the Department of Defense.


Paige Schoffstall Lurwick — Class of 2009

Paige Schoffstall Lurwick earned varsity letters in swimming and diving, track and field, and volleyball.

She qualified for the District XI diving meet during all four years of high school, earning two third-place finishes and two fourth-place finishes. She also holds Blue Mountain’s school record in the six-dive competition.

Lurwick returned to Blue Mountain as a coach and has led the varsity girls’ track and field program since 2015.

According to her Hall of Fame biography, her teams have compiled a 65-1 record in league meets and won multiple Schuylkill League championships. She was named the Republican-Herald’s Female Sports Coach of the Year in 2016 and also serves as a PIAA swimming and diving official.
