Patricia “Patti” Kaufman, 71, of Gordon

Patricia “Patti” Kaufman, 71, of Gordon, passed away Wednesday evening, October 28, 2026, at her home.

Born in Ashland on October 20, 1955, she was the daughter of the late Paul S. and Marian (Weikel) Martin. She was the wife of Lewis M. Kaufman; the couple had been married for six years but had been together for over twenty years.

Patti attended North Schuylkill High School. She worked for many years as an auditor for Citizens Bank, and later Truist, before retiring.

She was of the Lutheran faith and was a member of Christ United Church in Ashland. She was also a member of the Citizens Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary in Gordon.

Patti was incredibly kind, and it showed in her thoughtfulness toward others. She never forgot to celebrate a birthday or reach out to check in on her friends and family. She loved being outside in her yard, alongside her husband, working in her garden and growing her own vegetables.

She deeply enjoyed traveling with her loving husband and their close group of friends. Together, they would take cruises, visit wineries and attend sporting events, all of which made her so happy.

Patti was part of a group of siblings that always looked out for, cared for, and supported each other. Their love for each other could be seen with how often they spoke and got together to celebrate at the holidays and summertime picnics.

The one thing that may have made her happiest, though, was spending time with her grandchildren, whom she absolutely adored. Her caring nature, generosity, and love towards her grandchildren was always so clear that you could see it in her eyes when she was around them.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Barbara Artz.

Surviving are her husband, Lewis M. Kaufman, Gordon; son Joshua Smith (Shannon), Germantown, MD; son Jonathan Boyer (Dolicia), Pensacola, FL; stepson Matthew Kaufman (Stacie), Coeur d’Alene, ID; stepdaughter Jennie Rose Machado (Jeremiah), Wilmington, DE; brother Paul “Butch” Martin, Bloomsburg; sister Kay Paul, Warminster; sister Annette Thomas (Bruce), Bloomsburg; seven grandchildren, Micah, Jenna, Shelby, Sydney, Addison, Patrick and Emery; and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 12:30 p.m. on November 6, 2026, at Christ United Church, 437 Airport Road, Ashland, PA 17921. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the church prior to services on November 6, 2026. Interment will be at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery following services.

Kull-Heizenroth Funeral Home Inc., 901 Centre St., Ashland, PA 17921, has been entrusted with the arrangements.
