Schuylkill River Greenways Opens Grant Cycle for 2024 Schuylkill River Restoration Fund


Each year since the Schuylkill River Restoration Fund’s inception in 2006, Schuylkill River Greenways has awarded hundreds of thousands of dollars in grant money to private and government organizations who are working to improve conditions in the Schuylkill River watershed.

A state grant for $605,849 was awarded to a project to reclaim abandoned mine lands near the Pioneer Tunnel Coal Mine and Steam Train in Ashland on Wednesday, by Sen. Dave Argall (R-29) and Rep. Tim Twardzik (R-123).
