(09/28/17) According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Schuylkill Haven, a two-vehicle crash occurred Thursday morning around 6:00am at 1113 Long Run Rd, Wayne Township, near Friedensburg.
The crash occurred as William Long, 26, of Pottsville was traveling westbound and Donna Yeager, 60, of Pine Grove was traveling eastbound on SR 443.
Police say Long crossed over the dotted yellow line into the eastbound lane and struck Yeager.
Long's vehicle continued westbound where the vehicle struck a cement slab and came to a final rest position facing south off the westbound shoulder, Long was reported to not be wearing his seatbelt.
Yeager's vehicle continued eastbound where the vehicle overturned and came to a final rest position on its roof facing south off the eastbound shoulder. Yeager was wearing her seatbelt.
Long died and was pronounced dead at the scene by Schuylkill County Deputy Coroner Deb Detweiler.
Yeager was flown by helicopter to Geisinger Hospital in Danville, PA for moderate injuries.
