Pottsville Man Faces Charges After Being Shot At By Trooper in Lehigh County

The Morning Call Newspaper out of Allentown is reporting that a Pottsville man is facing charges after being shot at by a trooper in Lehigh County.


According to the article, on April 26th,  Brian P. Chapman, 32, of Pottsville, was in a lengthy police pursuit that started when he was  spotted speeding in a stolen pickup truck.  A chase ensued and  ended in a Lower Macungie Twp. Department Store Parking Lot.  Chapman was then said to have been hiding between two cars and when police approached him, he lunged at them, and a trooper fired.

Chapman was not injured.
