Fire Crews Called to Fire in Girardville Saturday Evening

Fire crews were called to fight a fire in Girardville Saturday evening.


Just before 10:00pm, fire crews were called to 120 Main Street, Girardville for a working structure fire.

When crews arrived they found flames shooting from the side of the home.  Within minutes fire crews had the fire under control and began overhaul.

The fire was contained to the home, saving the Girardville American Legion which was right next door.

One family is reported to be taking aide from the American Red Cross.

By 10:50pm, fire crews began leaving the scene.

Emergency personnel from Girardville, Ashland, Shenandoah, Mahanoy City, and William Penn were called to the scene.
