A bomb threat that was made Thursday to the Blue Mountain School District prompting higher security for Friday for students.

On Thursday, Blue Mountain school officials found a note in a boys bathroom in the high school that read "there is a bomb tomorow"(spelled as provided).  Parents and students were notified Thursday with the following message:
"This afternoon a message was found in a boys’ restroom at the high school. The message states “there is a bomb tomorow”. Our entire facility will have a thorough sweep completed this evening and will be secured. Students should be prepared to be checked upon entry into the building Friday. We plan to take all steps necessary to ensure the safety of our students and staff. Thank you."
On Friday morning, school staff with the presence of the State Police from Schuylkill Haven searched all students as they entered the buildings and after all students arrived, the school announced the following to parents.
"Everything this AM went smoothly. All students arrived and are in the building safely, and classes have resumed to the normal schedule. Staff members checked every student upon entry into the building with the oversight of state police officers. An investigation is ongoing. Video footage has allowed us to narrow the suspect list to a handful of students. We are hopeful to bring this issue to closure in the very near future. All of your cooperation and understanding is greatly appreciated. Rest assured we take this very seriously. All reasonable steps were taken to ensure the safety of our students and staff, and we will continue to do so in the future."
