Pottsville Police Issue Traffic Advisory and Parking Restrictions Ahead of Parade

The Pottsville Police have issued parking restrictions and a traffic advisory ahead of Saturday's St. Patrick's Day festivities.

The City of Pottsville’s annual Saint Patrick’s Day Parade and festivities will be held this Saturday, March 17, 2018. The parade commences at 1100 hours, with participants forming on West Market Street between North 12th Street and 14th Street starting at 1000 hours. The parade will proceed from that location east on West Market Street turning south onto North 2nd Street, east on Mahantongo St, north on South Centre Street, and finally east on Laurel Boulevard. The parade will end at North 3rd Street and Laurel Boulevard.

Temporary parking restrictions along the parade route will take effect starting at 0800 hours and motor vehicle traffic will be banned from the route from approximately 1030 through 1130.

Celebrants are reminded that all normal state laws and city ordinances are in effect during the parade and the remainder of the day and will be enforced by law enforcement officers to ensure a safe and enjoyable day for everyone in the city.
