Investigation Leads to Girardville Man Being Charged with Sale of Methamphetamine

A Girardville man is locked up in Schuylkill County Prison after an investigation into the sale of methamphetamine.


According to authorities, on Tuesday, March 12, 2019, David Lee Collazo was charged with one county of Delivery of a controlled substance and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia for selling methamphetamine from his home.

On Tuesday at 6:00am, the Schuylkill County Drug Task Force executed a Federal Search Warrant at 18 East Mahanoy Avenue, Girardville as part of an ongoing investigation into the sale of methamphetamine.

During the search, methamphetamine, heroin, and marijuana were seized along with cash.

Collazo was arraigned by Magisterial District Judge Anthony Kilker on the above charges and locked up in Schuylkill County Prison in lieu of $25,000 straight cash bail.


Members of the Drug Task Force, along with State Police and Federal Agents had conducted an investigation into the sale of methamphetamine from the Collazo's home as part of an ongoing, collaborative effort to combat drug crimes through the FBI Safe Streets Program.
