Oxygen Network to Film Show on 2014 Murder in Schuylkill County

Next week, the Oxygen Network will be in Schuylkill County filming an episode for a show about a missing person/murder case in Schuylkill County.


According to a producer that contacted Skook News to be a part of the show, the filming is for the Oxygen cable network true crime series, "Buried in the Backyard."

The show is a one-hour documentary series that tells the stories of people who go missing and their remains are found some time later, often by uninvolved passersby.

The family and friends of the victim are expected to be interviewed, as well as the police investigators and prosecutors who bring the case to a successful conclusion.

The case for the show for here in Schuylkill County is about the Corey Samuels missing person/murder case in Coaldale, PA in 2014.

According to State Police, a family searching for mushrooms found a decomposed body in a wooded area of Coaldale Saturday, September 6, 2014. The body was later was identified to be Corey Samuels, 24, of Coaldale, who disappeared in January.

In January of 2015, two men were charged by police for Samuels' murder.

Oliver Trizarri, 21, of Reading, and Stanley Kralick, 17, were later charged and convicted.

Kralick is now locked up in prison serving a 20-40 year term and Trizarri is locked up on a 15-30 year term.

No word is expected on when the show will air.
