The Pennsylvania State Police at Frackville have issued a warrant for a Saint Clair man after he allegedly strangled a woman in Arnots Addition.
According to troopers, on Friday, August 28th, 2020, around 1:30am, police were dispatched to Broad Street in New Castle Township for a report of a physical domestic incident.
The female victim told police that a physical altercation took place at which Christopher Achenbach, 40, of Saint Clair grabbed her by the throat.
Achenbach allegedly picked up the woman by her neck and attempted to suffocate her and eventually threw were to the floor of the bedroom of the home.
The victim was able to flee the scene and go to a neighbor's house to call 911.
Achenbach has been charged with strangulation, simple assault, and harassment and a warrant has been issued for his arrest.
