Carolers Help Spread Christmas Cheer for Woman Battling Cancer in Mahanoy City

Dozens of people helped spread Christmas cheer earlier this week for a woman battling cancer in Mahanoy City.

Debbie Sendatch, of Mahanoy City, has been battling cancer and her family wanted to help raise her spirits for Christmas.

Her family created a Facebook event and asked for the community to come out this past Tuesday evening to sing some Christmas Carols for Debbie.

All the family asked for was for everyone to meet at St. Canicus Church and be ready to sing.

Dozens of people from around the community answered the call and showed up.  The group walked to her home on West Pine Street where they surprised Debbie.

Debbie sat on her front porch as the carolers sang "Jingle Bells" and "We Wish You a Merry Christmas".
