State Police Receive Another Report of Forged Checks in the Ringtown Area

The Pennsylvania State Police are investigated a 5th incident where checks sent through the mail were forged and cashed.

According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Frackville, Troopers received a reported that in November, a woman who resides on Brandonville Road in Union Township reported that she had sent 2 separate checks through the mail.  After receiving notifications from the intended recipients that the checks did not arrive, she learned that both checks were cashed fraudulently.

State Police continue to investigate this incident and 4 other incidents in the Ringtown, Union Township, Zion Grove Area since November.
