Fire Crews Respond to Electrical Fire in Ashland

Early Friday morning, fire crews responded to an electrical fire in Ashland.

At 12:48am, the Ashland Fire Department along with the Rangers Hose Company from Girardville were dispatched to the 400 Block of West Centre Street, Ashland for an electrical fire.

Ashland Fire Chief Phil Groody was first on scene and found an outlet fire in an apartment at 416 Centre Street.

The fire was contained to the outlet and no extensions of the fire were found.

Firefighters remained on-scene for almost an hour before clearing.   Fire chiefs remained on scene after electrical issues were found in the building.

Responding to the call were the Washington Fire Company, American Hose Company, Rangers Hose Company, Ashland Police, and Ashland Fire Police.
