SEDCO Elects Officers for the 2021-2022 Term

On Thursday afternoon, the Schuylkill Economic Development Corporation (SEDCO) board of directors held its annual meeting in Orwigsburg’s Veterans Community Memorial Hall and elected a slate of officers who will serve during the 2021-2022 term.

The newly-named officeholders include Chairperson Karen Kenderdine, Vice-chairman Ken Huebner, Secretary Christine Verdier, Assistant Secretary Letitia Reiser, Treasurer Kirk Fanelli and Assistant Treasurer Demetrius Kasmari.

In addition, David Snyder now assumes the position of Immediate Past Chairman.

In a separate vote, the board approved the re-appointment of 21 present members to terms that will conclude on December 31, 2023.

The SEDCO board comprises 60 members in all. SEDCO consists of a small staff, along with a volunteer group of 60 community leaders from across Schuylkill County, who invest their time and talent seeking ways to create and retain employment opportunities for county residents by developing industrial real estate, marketing the county to outside investors and helping existing employers thrive.
