State Representative Twardzik Meets Virtually with Area Students

On Thursday afternoon State Representative Tim Twardzik of the 123rd District, took part in a Virtual Student Town Hall with high school students from throughout his district.

Representative Twardzik discussed numerous topics about his role in Harrisburg.

High School students from Shenandoah Valley, Mahanoy Area, and North Schuylkill High Schools asked questions on topics including Covid, the state budget, changes in schools to bring students back in person, mental health issues and bipartisanship.

The following students took part in the Town Hall: from Shenandoah Valley HS: Jesse Carl and Luke Matta; from Mahanoy Area HS: Isabella Kramer, and James Leary; from North Schuylkill HS: Megan Reidler and Caileigh Kaminski.

Harry Mathias from the Pennsylvania School Boards Association arranged and facilitated the Town Hall which serves as a PSBA Show Them What It Takes event focused on linking legislators with school personnel and students regarding school issues. Also, on the call was Dr. Joie Green from Mahanoy Area and Stu Tripler from Shenandoah Valley.

The PSBA wishes to thank Kailee Glock from Representative Twardzik's staff for her help in setting up the Town Hall.
