Youth Group Volunteers to Help Clean Up Ashland; Family Street Fair Scheduled

A group of teen volunteers from a youth group are visiting Ashland over the next several days to help clean up the borough.

Over the past several years, the Crossfire Youth Ministries have brought in some of their members from the Ephrata area to help do some community work.

In 2020, dozens of teens gave up a week of their summer to volunteer and clean up Centre Street.  They also revitalized Oakland Park and made it look brand new again with a fresh coat of paint.

This week, the group returned for their 2021 and have begun service projects around the borough.  The group will be canvassing the borough Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday helping out in any way they can.

On Thursday and Friday evening, starting at 4:00pm, a family street fair will be held in the 1100 Block of Chestnut Street right behind their new youth center that is currently being renovated.  The community is invited to attend each night.
