Accused Murderer of Schuylkill County Business Owner Lands Spot on Netflix Reality Show


The accused murderer of a Schuylkill County businessman has landed herself a spot on a Netflix reality show.

In 2019, the body Patrick Murphy, 62, of Pottsville, was found with three stab wounds inside a room at the Empress Hotel in New Orleans, Louisiana.

An investigation found that the hotel room was registered to a Megan Hall, 25, with Hall later being charged with second degree murder, armed robbery, and obstruction of justice.

She was later taken into custody and has been locked up in a correction facility awaiting trial, which has been rescheduled several times over the past 2 years with the latest delay being blamed on Hurricane Ida.

You may wonder what Hall been up to during her two years in prison.  Well, now you can find out since she is on the latest season of a Netflix reality show called Jailbirds: New Orleans.

Last week, local coal region web site, The Coal Speaker published the finding that Hall was on the latest season of the show that premiered two weeks ago.
