A Pottsville man has died after being struck by a Police Cruiser in the city early Sunday.
According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Jonestown, the incident occurred around 12:45am on Laurel Boulevard.
Troopers say Joseph Potter, 31, of Pottsville was struck by a Pottsville Police Ford Interceptor as he crossed Laurel Boulevard near 3rd Street.
Potter was struck by the front end of the police cruiser and was transported to Lehigh Valley Hospital East by Pottsville/Schuylkill Haven EMS where he later died as a result of the injuries he sustained.
The identity of the officer involved was not released.
