Drug Investigation Leads to Arrest in Pottsville


A Pottsville man is facing drug charges after an investigation by City police.

A recent investigation by the Pottsville Bureau of Police Drug Investigation Unit resulted in the arrest of John Luback Jr., 37, of Pottsville. 

During the investigation, Luback sold methamphetamine on separate occasions and as a result felony arrest warrants were obtained for Luback on 10/15/21 charging him with delivery of a controlled substance and possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance. 

While executing the warrants and taking Luback into custody, Pottsville Police recovered a large amount of US currency, methamphetamine, a scale, and packaging materials. 

Additional charges are pending as a result of the seizures.
 
Luback was arraigned on the arrest warrants and committed to the Schuylkill County Prison on $40,000 bail. State parole agents also issued a detainer for Luback due to his current status under the agency’s supervision.
