A Pottsville man who goes by the name "Shorty" is being sought by the Minersville Police on drug charges.
According to Patrolman Jeffrey Bowers of the Minersville Police Department, Carl Walter Haas, also known as "Shorty", 48, of Arch Street, Pottsville is wanted on 2 warrants in Minersville for allegedly selling methamphetamine in the borough.
Bowers says the charges, which were filed in late March, stem from an investigation into drug activity in the borough that occurred in early February.
Haas is being charged with several counts of possession of a controlled substance, delivery of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
