UPDATE: Frackville Man Wanted in Connection with Vehicle Theft and Arson in Luzerne County Taken into Custody

A Frackville man wanted in connection with a Luzerne County Arson and auto theft was taken into custody on Monday.

According to Pennsylvania State Police from Hazleton, on November 16th, 2021, an Arrest Warrant had been issued for David Carls, 57, of Frackville for charges of: Robbery of a Motor Vehicle, Theft by Unlawful Taking, Recklessly Endangering Another Person and Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon.

Carls was wanted in connection with a vehicle theft and arson that occurred in the 200 Block of Trapper Springs Lane in the Beech Mountain Lakes community in Luzerne County near Drums.  Carls was consider armed and dangerous.

On Monday, November 29 2021, David Carls was taken into custody by the Pennsylvania State Police Fugitive Task Force & United States Marshals. 

Carls was lodged in the Luzerne County Correctional Facility, with bail being denied.
