Man Locked Up in Schuylkill County Prison for Burglarizing and Threatening to Kill Several Families near Pine Grove

A Pine Grove man spent Christmas in Schuylkill County Prison after he threatened to kill several families earlier this month.

According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Schuylkill Haven, on Wednesday, December 15th, 2021, around 6:30pm, Troopers responded to Pleasant Valley Road in Pine Grove Township for a report of a burglary in progress.

When police arrived, after resisting arrest, Bradley Keppley, 32, of Pine Grove was taken into custody.

An investigation led to the finding that Keppley attempted to break into a home on Pleasant Valley Road, and when he couldn't, he went to a neighboring home where he forced his way in and threatened to kill a family of 3 inside.

Keppley then fled that home, forced his way into a third residence and threat to kill someone inside that home as well.

Keppley was charged with numerous counts of burglary, criminal trespass, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, aggravated assault, simple assault, and vandalism.

He was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Stephen J. Bayer who locked Keppley up in Schuylkill County Prison on $100,000 straight cash bail.
