State Police Investigating Hit and Run Crash Along Route 309 near Hometown

The Pennsylvania State Police at Frackville are investigating a hit and run crash that occurred last week near Hometown.

According to Troopers, the two-vehicle crash occurred on Tide Road at it's intersection with Route 309 in Rush Township on Tuesday, December 7th, 2021 around 6:50pm.

Police say Natasha Cruz, 31 was traveling on Tide Road in her Nissan Versa and attempting to make a left turn onto Route 309 while she had a green light.

A second vehicle was traveling north on Route 309 and failed to stop at the red light and collided with Cruz in the intersection.  The second vehicle, then fled the scene continuing to travel north on Route 309.

The impact spun Cruz's vehicle nearly 360 degrees before coming to final rest on the should of Route 309.

Cruz and two children in the vehicle, ages 6 & 9, were all wearing their seatbelts and were not injured.

No description was available on the second vehicle involved.
