State Police Investigating Separate Fatal Crashes on Interstate 78 in Berks County

The Pennsylvania State Police are investigating two separate fatal crash that occurred on Interstate 78 in Berks County late Tuesday.

The first crash occurred around 8:15pm in the eastbound lanes at mile marker 27.3 in Tilden Township.  According to State Police Public Information Officer David Beohm, the crash was fatal and involved an empty school bus, 2 cars, and a tractor trailer.  Multiple people were also injured.

The second crash occurred around 10:15pm in the eastbound lanes at mile marker 18.1 in Upper Tulpehocken Township and involved two tractor trailers, a van, and car.  This crash was also reported as fatal and involved multiple people injured.

The crash are still under investigation and specific details have not been made available.  We will share information as it released.
