Man Shot with Air Rifle During Domestic in West Mahanoy Township near Shenandoah


A woman is locked up in Schuylkill County Prison after she shot her husband with an air rifle on Wednesday.
According to West Mahanoy Township Police, on Wednesday, February 9th, 2022, officers received a call for a domestic disturbance, resulting in a gunshot wound in the Brownsville Section of the Township.

At the location police found the victim, who was under the influence of alcohol, shirtless, with a small hole in his chest air, oozing blood.

The victim stated that while he and his wife, Tresa Andino, 52, were arguing, he took her cell phone. Andino then reportedly grabbed an air rifle, pumped up it several times and shot him.

As a result of the incident Andino was charged with Aggravated Assault, Simple Assault, and Reckless Endangerment.

Andino was arraigned by on-call Magisterial District Judge Edward Tarantelli and committed to the Schuylkill County Prison on $50,000 straight cash bail
