Philadelphia Man Faces Drug Charges After Traffic Stop in Minersville

A man from Philadelphia will face charges after drugs were found in his vehicle during a traffic stop in Minersville.

According to Minersville Police, the traffic stop occurred on Monday, February 14th, 2022 just before 11:00pm at the intersection of Sunbury Street and Delaware Avenue.  Patrolman Ethan Powell conducted the traffic stop due to tinting on the vehicle's windows and tail lights.

While Patrolman Powell approached the vehicle, he could smell the odor of marijuana emanating from the vehicle.

A search of the vehicle led to the finding of six sealed bags of marijuana and a white plastic bag with $8,700 in cash inside.

As of a result of the traffic stop and findings, the driver, Sean Siep, 18, of Philadelphia was charged with misdemeanor charges of  possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

He will answer to these charges during a preliminary hearing before Magisterial District Judge Plachko on April 19th, 2022.
