PIAA Basketball: Shenandoah Valley Advances to Round 2 of the State Tournament

Shenandoah Valley wasn't going without a fight on Wednesday night during Round 1 of the District XI Boys Basketball Tournament.

Both teams put pressure on each other right from the tipoff and went shot for shot through the 1st quarter.  By the end of the 1st, Muncy only held a 2 point lead, 14-12.

By the half the Devils only led by 3 with the score at 31-28.

The sold out crowd inside Shenandoah Valley's gym was 100% in the game as the 3rd quarter began.  By the end of the 3rd, both teams were tied 44-44.

The Indians and the Devils were fighting to survive at this point and one wrong move would end their season.

As the clock ticked away, it was Shenandoah Valley that pulled ahead and held the lead winning 56-52.

Shenandoah Valley moves on to face Constitution on Saturday, March 12th, at 5:00PM at Freedom High School in Bethlehem.
