Three Flown with Injuries After Crash in Pine Grove Township

Three people were injured in a crash in Pine Grove Township on Friday.

According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Schuylkill Haven, the crash occurred around 5:30pm on Friday, March 18th, 2022 on Route 125/Tremont Road near the intersection with Sweet Arrow Lake Road.

Troopers say Scott Delinko, 34, of Pine Grove was traveling south on Route 125 in a Chevrolet Silverado while Stacy Shalters, 41, of Gratz in a Chevrolet Equinox was stopped directly in front of him  on Route 125 waiting to make a left turn onto Sweet Arrow Lake Road.

Delinko was reportedly distracted and did not see the stopped vehicle in front of him.  The Silverado struck the rear of  Equinox pushing it into the intersection

Shalters sustained minor injuries in the crash and her three passengers, Casey Bixler, 20, of Berrysburg, Kevin Alting, 49, of Gratz, and a 13 year old male all suffered more serious injuries.  All 3 passengers were flown to area hospitals by Medevac.

Delinko and his passenger, a 4 year old female, were not injured.

  1. The idiots who cause the accidents are always the ones who get off with no injuries. Where's justice?
