Three Schuylkill County Youth advanced Saturday to the International Soap Box Derby.
The annual Soap Box Derby returned Saturday on West Laurel Street, near the Schuylkill County Courthouse, in Pottsville where 47 children competed.
The competition was split into three divisions: Stock, Super Stock, and Masters Division.
Practice began around 9:30am, Saturday, with racing beginning around 10:00am.
By mid afternoon, the division Grand Champions were being crowned. The Champion from each division will move on to the International Soap Box Derby in Akron, Ohio, on July 23rd, 2022.
