PA Modified 358 Tri-Track Series, Take Two, This Friday night at Big Diamond Speedway

Mother Nature has most definitely not been a friend of Big Diamond Speedway in 2022. For the fourth consecutive Friday night rain forced promoters Jake and Jasmine Smulley to postpone events at Big Diamond Speedway.
This Friday night June 3rd, Big Diamond will give it a go one more time as the PA Spec 358 Tri-Track Series is scheduled to make its debut at the Schuylkill Valley track after getting rained out on Friday night May 13th. After rains postponed the first two races of the series at BAPS Motor Speedway and at Big Diamond Speedway the first race of the six-race series was finally completed last night at the Grandview Speedway with Craig Von Dohren taking home the win over Timmy Buckwalter and Jeff Strunk.

The Tri-Track Series will feature the Big Diamond Insigner Performance Modifieds racing for $3,500 to win. The modifieds will be raring to race after a month-long layoff due to the weather. Big Diamonds all-time feature winner Craig Von Dohren stood in victory lane the last time the modifieds raced on April 29th. Louden Reimert is the current points leader by a small margin over Jeff Strunk and Duane Howard. All modified drivers in attendance will receive show-up points on Friday. Teams will draw upon entry and will be placed into groups for their heat race. Timed hot laps along with an invert will determine the heat race lineups.

Just like with the modifieds, the USS Achey Crate Sportsman will be raring to go after a four-week layoff due to the weather. This week the Crate 602 Sportsman will race for $1,000 to win. Talan Carter, Brendan Edgar and James Costlow have all graced victory lane so far in 2022 with the consistent Matt Yoder shown as the leader in the chase for the championship followed closely by Brendan Edgar and Logan Watt.

The Red White and Blue Autos Roadrunners are also on the card Friday night with their door-to-door brand of racing. Andrew Fayash III leads the way with two wins and is the current points leader. Alex Shoffstall has also visited victory lane in 2022 and will be looking to even the score with Fayash III and get his second win of the season.

Also joining the racing card this Friday night will be the Central PA Legends with their exciting brand of competition. The Central PA Legends always put on a dynamite style of racing when they bring their talents to Big Diamond Speedway.

Pit gates will open this Friday at 5:00 pm with Grandstand gates opening at 5:30 pm

Pit passes are $35 for Big Diamond Speedway members. Non-member pit passes are $40.

Warmups get underway at 7:15 PM with racing starting at 7:45 PM.

General admission on Friday night will be $23, Senior admission is $20, Kids under 16 are free. Active military are admitted free with a valid ID.

Once again in 2022, Big Diamond Speedway has partnered with Dirt Track Digest TV to bring the live action to you if you cannot attend via Pay-Per-View.
